TWEED RESIDENTS are being called on to help some very talented local musicians win a gig at Falls Festival by voting for them in the Foster a Band competition.

Gratis Minds featuring Bronte Eve have just released a video for their song Stroll which is one of the songs featured on the Falls Festival voting site.

“We’ve worked consistently throughout our careers and it would be the biggest thing any of us have ever done and so rewarding and exciting if we win,” Bronte said.

“It would be great if everyone could take the time to go online and vote for us.

“I feel like all of us together have worked on music that is very suited to Falls Festival and we create a real celebration vibe and especially being hip hop it’s like party music and really perfect for Falls Festival.

“We’ve been working pretty hard together creating music, we have a couple of other songs we’ve been working on that haven’t been released and we could debut them there which would be fantastic.”

Bronte and Gratis Minds recently filmed a music video at Cabarita that was released on Wednesday, November 21 on YouTube.

It’s for our song Stroll and it was heaps of fun filming,” she said.

“We had our friend Kiarney Mulyono shoot the film on a rooftop in Caba and we all worked together and did single shots of us singing our parts and did one-takes where we all performed together.”

Bronte said she thought they were in with a good shot at the gig.

“I feel like we are going well and a lot of time I’ve posted things online people are saying that they’ve voted for us,” she said.

“I feel like it’s us against Nick Cunningham because he’s quite a popular local act so hopefully we can have a big push at the end to get us over the line.”
