The Sugar Beat set to reopen

THE SUGAR Beat on Commercial Road, Murwillumbah, is getting ready for its grand reopening tomorrow (Friday, February 24) with plenty of surprises to reveal.

The popular location will open from 6.30am with the unveiling of the newly refurbished approach to the restaurant and café space.

The new owners, Jessica Harvey and Matthew Barter, have poured their heart and soul into the business and have encouraged residents to drop by and say hello.

“This is such a big project for us,” Matt said.

“We’re so excited to be reopening the popular location and serving up some delicious food and coffee for locals and visitors alike.”

The pair will be launching a refreshed menu that takes advantage of some of the amazing local produce.

“It was really important for us to provide great food, amazing coffee at reasonable prices,” he said.

“We’re also engaging a lot of local growers and sourcing a lot of products from local farmer’s markets.”

The couple have always had a strong connection to Murwillumbah and have made a lot of friends throughout the community.

“This is one of the greatest parts of the world,” he said.

“We feel so lucky and thankful to be a part of the community and to open this great venue for everyone to enjoy.

“We’d also like to thank our regular customers for their support during this time.”
