Serious concerns for missing teen sparks police appeal

Joel was reported missing last month but has been found safe and well.

TWEED POLICE said they have serious concerns for the welfare of 17-year-old Joel Noonan who was reported missing from Tweed Heads since Friday, February 10.

Local officers are appealing for public support to help locate Joel after he was reported missing to police on Saturday, February 11, when he failed to return home from school on Friday, February 10.

Police said in a statement that Joel’s family along with police officers, hold “serious concerns for his welfare as he may suffer from a medical condition”.

“Officers from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command are conducting inquiries”.

Joel is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, about 65kg and with brown hair.

Anyone with information on Joel’s whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers immediately.
