Rain stops play for Vulcans

THE LOCAL ducks enjoyed the rain last week but it wreaked havoc on playing fields causing a wash out round of AFL for Murwillumbah Vulcans.

The local teams were due to play a highly competitive Lismore Swans.
Murwillumbah Vulcans are at home again this weekend with games starting from 8.30am until 1.30pm against the Mighty Byron Magpies.

There are grand final re-matches and spectators can expect lots of tough footy.

All are welcome to enjoy some fantastic football and lots of special treats from our amazing canteen supported by some wonderful mums.

Last Thursday saw our players being officially presented with their new sponsored 2017 playing jumpers.

These jumpers were only made possible by our many special supporters: Murwillumbah Services Club, Smile Street Dental and Solo Resource Recovery and IGA. Special mention to The Weekly for their support with local news coverage.

Murwillumbah Vulcans would like to Thank all our supporters as our little club runs because of these special people.

Special mention for all the little AUS KICKERS supported by NAB.
The AFL are running a free six-week program at Tweed Valley Adventist College and Murwillumbah East Primary School on Tuesdays 3.15pm to 4.15pm.

This program is free for any school-aged child aged 5-12 years.
