Priceline donated $1,100 to the Murwillumbah SES

LOCAL BUSINESS Priceline Pharmacy Murwillumbah has recently made two generous donations to local community groups following a strong community fundraising effort.

The first on the list for Priceline was a donation to the Murwillumbah SES from their “shots for a cause” fundraiser.

Priceline Pharmacy Murwillumbah Manager Serina Lincoln said the store donated $5 from every $19.95 flu shot that is administered in store by pharmacists.

“This has been a great promotion and ran from May 1, 2019, to May 31,” she said.

“And thanks to the Murwillumbah community, we have raised enough for the child CPR training equipment for them.”

The total cheque amount to the Murwillumbah SES was $1,100, which was received by Chris Ostomos who has been a member of the SES for the past 50 years.

“With the funds they’ve raised, Priceline Pharmacy Murwillumbah is going to purchase some much-needed resuscitation aids in the form of a baby and adult mannequin to further our training abilities to service our community,” he said.

“I’d like to extend a big thank you to Priceline Murwillumbah for their generous support of our local SES unit.”

Next up to receive funding was the Murwillumbah Vipers Hockey team, who received $1,250 to go towards the purchasing of sporting equipment.

“Last year we sponsored the senior and junior women’s uniforms, so it’s great to continue our support of the club this year as well,” Ms Lincoln said.

“It’s great to be able to support these local clubs and we know these funds go a long way in helping with equipment needs.”

Priceline Pharmacy Murwillumbah also sponsored the Murwillumbah Vulcans AFL first aid kit this year.
