A NEW dental practice has recently opened at South Murwillumbah and it’s offering a fresh approach to make your teeth beautiful in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Malaysian born Srilankan/Indian Doctor Ramesh Sivabalan said he has long had a love for the Tweed Valley and wanted to move here since he first visited more than ten years ago.

“We wanted our children to grow up in a friendly and relaxed environment out of the big smoke that is Sydney,” he said.

Ramesh has a Bachelor of Dentistry from University of Sydney and previously owned two successful branches of a dental practice called My Dental Team in Shellharbour and Bella Vista, NSW.

“I’m interested in all parts of dental treatment and a special interest in crown and bridge and dental implants,” he said.

Ramesh said Smile Street South Murwillumbah, which is located next to IGA and McDonalds on Tweed Valley Way, was created to give patients a fresh experience in dentistry.

The new practice is certainly fresh with a retro waiting room and Nespresso coffee, tea or water on arrival, plus a kids play area and paperless registration to save on wastage.

Ramesh has used all local tradespeople in creating his vision, as well as employing three local staff with plans for more.

“The practice itself is equipped with the latest Sirona dental equipment from Germany, including a 3D X-ray machine for dental implant planning and assessment for wisdom teeth extraction,” he said.

“A state of the art camera allows clear photography to validate any treatment that is necessary.

“We provide a high standard of dental practice to the beautiful people of the Tweed Valley region whilst making it as fun as possible for all visitors to Smile Street.”

Visit the Smile Street practice this month for an ‘Initial GAP FREE Comprehensive Check Up and Clean’ for your opportunity to win an IGA $500 Mt Warning Christmas Hamper.

Ramesh also has bigger plans on the horizon.

“We’ve already employed three local employees with the plan to employ three more over the next 12 months,” he said.

“We’re also considering opening two to three more branches of Smile Street in the Tweed Valley region.”
