Mustangs travel to Byron Bay for away game

Mustangs travelled to Byron Bay in the penultimate round with finals positions up for grabs in both A Grade and Reserve Grade. Reserves took the field in a must win game, fighting for 5th position with Byron Bay. In a see-sawing match, Murwillumbah were too strong 20-12, taking the points and a spot in the minor semi on Saturday against Tweed Coast Raiders.

A Grade needed upset results in the other top of table clashes plus a big win over Byron to secure the minor premiership on for and against points. With a 44-12 thrashing of Byron a nervous wait of a few hours finally confirmed the Mighty Mustangs as A- Grade premiers with a margin of 8 points over Casino. A Grade have the week off, Major Semi Final at home on Sunday 4th, be great to see as many locals at the game to support us.
