TWEED POLICE are investigating the death of a 59-year-old man found in a Murwillumbah hotel on Friday, December 16.
Police said the man was discovered at a hotel on Tweed Valley Way after staff entered the room and discovered the deceased male.
Emergency services were notified and officers from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Investigators believe the deceased to be a 59-year-old man who was last seen by staff on Monday, December 12.
A post mortem will be conducted to assist investigators determine how the man died.
Officers will prepare a report for the Coroner outlining the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
