Grand opening for Murwillumbah Early Education Centre

THE GRAND opening of Murwillumbah Early Education Centre (MEEC) located at 55 Commercial Road, will take place on Monday, February 13.

The centre has been cleverly created from a beautiful old Queenslander originally built in 1907.

The building had been lovingly restored, keeping many of its original features including VJ walls, hardwood floors , chandeliers and corrugated iron ceilings.

“The business is locally owned and operated ensuring a home away from home feel .  MEEC is the closest centre to town situated only one block from Coles

And being on the bus routes from our local schools, offers before and after school care as well.

MEEC had an established reputation through its sister centre Toddle Inn Early Education Centre on Joshua Street.

“With our continued collaboration we know our centres will provide the very best in education and care for our local children,” Renae Van Eck, the new MEEC Director said

“This beautiful centre has attracted high quality staff which includes an Early Childhood Teacher who will deliver our Preschool education program following the National Curriculum and The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).”

Renae said children in the Babies’, Toddler and Preschool Rooms will experience an educational program that is tailored to meet their individual needs and interests.

“All of our programs will cover the key learning areas of mathematics, literacy, dramatic play, science, language and sensory appreciation,” she said.

“Learning will occur naturally through our play based curriculum with children gaining an understanding of their place in the world in a safe, nurturing and playful environment.

Director Renae is waiting to welcome children from our local community to join MEEC, where they will thrive.

The opening hours of Murwillumbah Early Education Centre: 6.30am- 6.30pm,  52 weeks a year and being on the school bus routes ensures that parents have the best possible care for both their preschool children and school aged siblings as well.
