THE NATIONAL Broadband is coming to Tweed in 2017 with a range of areas switching over to faster internet speeds by the end of February.
NBN Co Community Affairs Manager Ian Scott presented the latest news to a group of 60 business owners and operators at the Murwillumbah and District Business Chamber breakfast meeting on Friday, February 3.
Mr Scott was among the presenters at the Murwillumbah Services Club and said now was the time to be enquiring about the NBN.
“I can’t recommend one specific carrier but I can say there’s going to be several across the Tweed and now is the time to be enquiring,” he said.
“Here is a view (table) of the fixed line rollout, with a large portion of this about to come online very shortly.
“Plus the fixed wireless is already on line covering some 3600 premises in the following areas: Kingscliff, Clothiers Creek, Tygalgah, Pottsville Beach, Dunbible, Murwillumbah Hill, Burringbar West, Terranora, Zara and Chillingham.
