A SPECIAL Family Fun weekend is planned at The Cove at Tweed City starting Friday, May 26 through to Sunday, May 28, with plenty of excitement for the whole family.
Expect a range of activities for the kids including the popular Balloon King, magicians and face painting, while adults are also treated to live music, tasty samples and the Mad Mex Big Burrito Grand Final.
The Cove is the newest dining and entertainment hub on the Tweed Coast after opening in October last year, the cafes and restaurants have attracted locals and visitors with the relaxed outdoor vibe, a myriad of cuisine choices and easy access to retailers.
The Cove is home to Mad Mex, Schnitz, Grill’d, The Yiros Shop, Nam An Vietnamese, Eat Sushi, The Coffee Club, San Churro and Rozzi’s Italian Canteen with more exciting cafes and restaurants opening soon. Tweed City Centre Manager Kathryn Mills said The Cove at Tweed City has been created as a hub for the whole community.
“It has become a place where both locals and visitors enjoy the outstanding climate and lifestyle and provides a relaxed environment to meet family and friends,” she said.

Saturday May 27
11am-2pm: The kids will enjoy a Face Painter and Balloon King by the playground
12 noon-3pm: Enjoy Stilt Walkers and Acro Hoop Artists roving The Cove
12 noon-4pm: Be treated to tasty samples with the Noisy Chef
1pm-4pm: Live sounds of Sam Buckingham and Kent Eastwood on stage for lunch
