Yazmeen Spears, the creator of Yaz Nature Me, brings her unique spark of energy and zest for life to make every tour an adventure.
“Tours are designed to teach skills, inspire children to continually expand and grow their individual talents while using all their senses in natural surroundings,” she said.
Driven by her passion for mentoring children to be the best version of themselves, Yazmeen combines her eight years of experience in childcare with nature to offer a range of tours for small groups of children.
Appreciating the importance of the little things in life and nature started with Yazmeen’s passion for photography and continues as a motivator today.
As a mother, a grandmother and an educator, Yazmeen recognises that immersion in nature has proven benefits for improving children’s creativity, communication, resilience, leadership and self-regulation.
“I believe that we are all educators and all students on some level,” she said.
Yazmeen continues to learn and be involved in local environmental groups and has a depth of knowledge about the ecological significance of the local area.
The two-hour mobile tours start from $25 per child for families with children aged three to ten years.
Choose from the range of current tours on local market days in Uki and Chillingham, school holidays and personalised tours.
With a maximum of six children per tour, positions are limited, it is recommended to book early.
5 Senses is a new five-week program for children aged three to five years old starting on Tuesday, March 10, and finishing on Tuesday, April 7.
Each week children explore and increase their intuitive connection to nature through play. Pay early and take advantage of the early bird specials available.
