Al-Anon Family Groups Is your life affected by someone else’s drinking? Al-Anon can help. The Tweed Valley – Murwillumbah Sub Branch of the National Servicemen’s Assoc meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Cudgen Leagues Club, Wommin Bay Road Kingscliff at 10am. Friends of the Library Kingscliff invite you to come to the library in Turnock St, Kingscliiff and snap up some bargains every Saturday morning between 9.15-11.45am. The Ladies Crochet Club meets every Wednesday between 10am and 12pm at Murwillumbah Services Club. Anyone who feels like crocheting come along, you’re most welcome. Murwillumbah on the Move walking group for the Heart Foundation meets at Knox Park at 6.55am each Wednesday and Saturday for an hour long walk around the town area. Walk at your own pace with this friendly group while keeping fit. The Murwillumbah Cancer Support Group meets from 10am to 12 midday on the second Monday of every month at the Community Health Centre on the corner of Nullum and Wollumbin streets. Tweed Valley Spanish Language Conversation Group. STOKERS SIDING

Miss Tweed Ball Series 2017 season starts with Stokers Siding/Dunbible Ball on the 29th April, followed by the Pottsville Ball on May 6th. Dancing from 8pm to midnight, supper included.  Tickets are available at the door; there will be raffles, lucky spot prizes, and a variety of dances.  This is a family night with no alcohol.

TWEED HEADS

Tweed Gold Coast Family History & Heritage Association invite members to attend their 20 year anniversary meeting at South Tweed Sports Club, Minjungbal Drive, South Tweed Heads on Tuesday, May 2 commencing at 1.30pm. Twin Towns Day VIEW Club is celebrating 49 years of fun, friendship and support for the Smith Family on Thursday, May 4. Twin Towns Evening View Club’s next meeting is on 10th May. The Tweed Hospital Auxiliary is currently selling raffle tickets at various venues around the Tweed for the raffle to be drawn at the Fashion Parade on Friday 26 May. There are three fabulous prizes including a DeLonghi Scultura Coffee Machine. Tickets are $2 each and all proceeds go to the Auxiliary for the purchase of equipment for the Tweed Hospital.

U3A Twin Towns are hosting the U3A Queensland Network State Conference on 18th and 19th May. The Blind & Vision Impaired Support Group is a dynamic group which meets regularly for enjoyable social and support functions. We welcome new members. Some transport is available.
