Another life tragically lost on Kyogle Road

A 43-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist died in Gold Coast Hospital today after a horror collision with a 4WD at about 5pm on Friday, October 7.

Emergency services were called to Kyogle Road, Uki, following reports that the motorcycle and Mitsubishi Triton 4WD had collided.

The rider of the motorbike was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being air lifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Police were advised today the 43-year-old had man died in Gold Coast University Hospital.

The rider’s death follows a horror year for Kyogle Road with two previous road deaths on the road this year.

The driver and two passengers in the vehicle were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Local Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.
